President and Chief Executive Officer
Nate brings enthusiasm and energy to the Instep Health team while driving the strategy and direction of the organization. Nate’s wealth of experience in the consulting, data and analytics services, and CPG industries provides key insights into the process of leveraging data and analytics into growth opportunities within the healthcare sector. His career includes management and executive leadership positions with General Mills, Boston Consulting Group and IRI. Nate holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
As the former CEO of Rx EDGE, now InStep Health, Jim O’Dea saw beyond the traditional media options for pharmaceutical companies and revolutionized the direct-to-consumer channel for medical marketing. Jim championed the role of retail pharmacy and created an opportunity for pharma brands to speak directly to consumers when they were actively making decisions about their health – in the pharmacy aisle. Jim’s path to pharmaceutical marketing services started in CPG, with executive leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Nabisco, and the in-store merchandising company News America. Jim is a graduate of Gettysburg College and completed the Executive Management program at Cornell University.
Executive Vice President, Sales
Mike knows InStep Health inside and out and partners with clients to create measurable and effective patient acquisition and adherence marketing programs. Mike understands client goals and positions them for success within InStep Health programs. Prior to joining Rx EDGE, Mike held pharmaceutical sales and management positions with Weider Publications and Capital Publishing based in New York City and was Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Sales at Third Age Media in San Francisco. A graduate of The University of Dayton, Mike received his B.A. in Communication Management and completed executive training at the Wharton School of Business.
Executive Vice President, Marketing
Kathleen leads marketing strategy and implementation for Instep Health. She is a champion of the many facets of the point-of-care experience, from the pharmacy to the doctor’s office, and the key role that POC plays within the healthcare marketing landscape. Her responsibilities include developing sales support tools, publishing industry articles, creating white papers and other client resources, and directing company involvement in trade shows and conferences. Prior to joining InStep Health Kathleen served in a number of promotional marketing leadership roles in consumer-packaged goods at Kraft Foods and Quaker Oats. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
RPh Senior Vice President, Networks and Analytics
Rob is devoted to developing and cultivating relationships among the multiple retail pharmacies within the InStep Health network. As a registered pharmacist, he has a unique perspective that allows him to consistently find innovative ways to deliver value to clients by leveraging the targeting platform and measurement services InStep Health offers. Prior to joining InStep Health, Rob worked for CVS, where he oversaw the implementation and analysis of direct-to-patient programs, in-store advertising, and other large database driven initiatives. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University.
Chief Financial Officer
Reaching far beyond numbers, Tracie’s role helps ensure that clients and employees feel valued at InStep Health. Tracie leads the Finance, Legal, and Human Resource departments within the company. She works closely with clients to insure a smooth contracting process in accordance with their company’s legal and financial protocols. Previously, Tracie held financial and accounting positions in regional public accounting firms as well as in the telecommunications industry. She has a B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University and she is also a CPA.
Vice President of Operations
Clients can rest assured that their InStep Health programs will be implemented flawlessly thanks to Carrie. Her responsibilities include production, delivery, and supervision of pharmacy merchandising services. Carrie also leads digital program implementation, as well as process development and automation. She also manages the proprietary system that supports InStep Health’s highly complex fulfillment process. Carrie was previously in Category Management with Walgreens, which gave her considerable insight into the retail sector. She received a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Fullerton.
Julie is our resident design expert and is responsible for translating business facts and brand narratives into creative, engaging content. Julie leads design and creative services for all of the InStep Health internal marketing elements. Her extensive background in every aspect of design allows Julie to rapidly deliver dynamic creative concepts that are relevant and eye-catching. Julie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Graphic Design from Southern Illinois University.
Vice President - Health Care Provider Services
As co-founder of Patientperx and a true healthcare marketing innovator, Jeff is passionate about empowering healthcare providers and consumers with tools and information that improve patient treatment and outcomes. With more than 20 years experience in marketing for fortune 100 companies and established health science brands—today Jeff guides InStep Health’s network of HCPs defining their strategy and position in the point of care industry.
President - Health Care Provider Services
Shauna is an innovator and a pioneer in point of care marketing and leads InStep Health’s team of physician liaisons to deliver personalized service and support for all POC programs. She oversees our efforts with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, veterinarians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. With more than two decades of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing at GSK and other companies, Shauna is an authority in the POC environment having created the Patientperx program and network of over 290,000 providers nationwide.
